Principal's Notes

Dear Parents or Guardians,

Welcome to Cram Middle School! We at Cram pride ourselves on challenging students to be their very best and helping them to understand that their path towards college begins in middle school. We also recognize that we are not alone and could not be successful without the support of the parents and guardians of all of our students.

The staff at Cram Middle School will focus on engaging students in the learning process while emphasizing activities, participation, and good citizenship. We will be implementing three significant curricular adjustments which should have a very positive impact on our instructional program at Cram. The first will be a focus on the Nevada Academic Content standards which emphasizes the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and increased rigor. In ELA and math we will be implementing the Accelerated Reader and the ALEXS programs, which every student will have access. Specifically the program will help to ready our students for the challenges of high school classes. In doing these things, we will place a priority on the transition of our incoming sixth grade students and our outgoing eighth graders. Furthermore, by allowing students to utilize technology as a tool to create original and meaningful learning outcomes, we will challenge our learners to think outside the box while also developing a solid foundation on the basics.

A successful school provides a quality education for all students in a safe and engaging learning environment and helps students to become successful citizens and lifelong learners. I encourage you to check Infinite Campus weekly. I invite all community members to attend our monthly “Coffee with the Counselors.”

The administration and staff at Cram Middle School look forward to a successful year while working with you and your child. If you have any questions throughout the school year, do not hesitate to call us at 799-7020.

Sincerely,
Gary Bugash
Principal
