Principal's Notes
Dear Cram Parent or Guardian:On behalf of the administration, faculty and staff, I would like to welcome your child to Cram Middle School for the 2008-2009 school year. We hope your family had an enjoyable summer! I certainly had a wonderful summer. I was a June bride. My new name is Sarabyn (pronounced like the female name “Sara” and the male name “Ben”). It was a wonderful wedding and a summer of fun, but I am very happy to be back at work. I know this will be a great school year as I celebrate two anniversaries: November 14th will mark my first anniversary as the Principal at Cram, and then in June 7th my first year as a new wife!
There have been a few other changes to Cram, also. We welcomed Mr. Chris Whitney as our new assistant principal and Mrs. Karen Hatch as our new dean of students. Both Mr. Whitney and Mrs. Hatch have a history of working with students in the Northeast Region, and I am very pleased that they have joined our team. Our other good news concerns our students’ academic achievement for this last year. As many of you might be aware, our school demonstrated Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. Our test scores increased in every subject area and subgroup! I am so proud of our students, parents, and teachers! We plan to continue this success as we work with our non-proficient students throughout the school year to remediate any academic deficiencies. Additionally, accelerated classes in math, English, reading, and science are offered in every grade level.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me personally or a member of my administrative team. We are eager to assist you and make the 2008-2009 school year a positive one for your child.
Lori Lawson Sarabyn
Principal
